I spend 3 to 4 days a week in Sonoma. I've been ordering from this restaurant quite a bit. Generally, the food is pretty good, but the prices are a bit high for what it is. I was okay paying $25 for a bowl of clam chowder, some pasta and a drink because I was in Sonoma. What got me really upset is two things, when you order the grilled salmon, you get a very scrawny piece of fish on a ton of pasta (for $16, I would think you would at least get something that would make you full...I paid $25 for a meal and I still needed to grab something else afterward... I tried ordering a couple times just in case it might have been a fluke, but each time I got barely any fish and a bunch of noodles, so I stopped ordering the salmon). The second issue I have is that they require you to request utensils and napkins for take-out orders... how cheap can you get? What restaurant would charge you $25 and only give you plastic utensils if you ask for it? This is the standard, not the exception. The owner confirmed that the policy is not to include utensils unless it is asked for... HOW CHEAP CAN YOU GET??? As a matter of principle, I will end up going to Mary's Pizza Shack because the owner was a jerk and unapologetic about the fact that they gave me a bowl of soup and some pasta, with no utensils. I had to go to the front desk at the Lodge and get utensils from them.
