Dr Rhea is a great primary care doc, and his staff is normally very helpful and understanding. ... Dealing with the walk in public can be draining, so even the best can have an occasional off day.
Some of the nurses are better than others at taking blood samples, but they understand that I am squeamish at the sight of my own blood, and get flush at the sight of a needle. They handle this adult guy with kid gloves. They may laugh about me after a visit, but they hold it together till I get away :)
Dr Rhey also understands his limitations and will refer you to specialists if he thinks it is needed, but he also looks out after your $$ especially if you voice a concern.
I have seen many geriatric and kids, adults and teenagers in his waiting room over time.
Dr Rhea is closed on Wed because he works the emergency room on Wed night. So if you have an early Thursday visit, he may be tired or late if there were issues at the Hospital. I like early Tuesday morning appointments if I have a choice. I think physicals are mainly done on Thursday.
Overall, for normal issues that happen while living, a doc like Dr Rhea is all I could ask for and more.
If he has a failing it is the dislike of paperwork. He is always behind. But I can sympathize. He would rather spend time with his patients, or family than pushing paper. ... Just proves he is human too!
