This place is great. They have it all. A friendly, knowledgeable, interested staff - and an impressive selection of ...stuff. So much stuff!
Forget that crazy ""They hate cats"" review. How bunk is that lady? Listen, the cat is in there every day and he's fine. There's no piss on the floor and he gets plenty of food and water.
Johnson's is a small, American-owned business. This is the way a hardware store is supposed to be. It's the way they used to be. The people in there know right were everything is. You don't have to wait for a sales associate who is just a hired gun making $7.50/hour and doesn't know how to fix anything more than a ham sandwich to come along and tell you, ""Unless you want me to fix a ham sandwich, I can't help you. Let me find someone in electrical.""
Go to Johnson's Hardware. They'll treat you (and your cat) right. You may part with a few more pennies, but it's a nominal difference and well worth the higher quality you'll experience - both in product and personnel.
