Too good to be true... 9/22/2010

We needed a place to store my father in laws belongings while he was waiting to move into his new place. We moved him to our area so he could be near us due to his age and health. The Manager we met w/ was more than helpful and promised us the use of their truck. when we were ready to move him out we were told the truck was in the shop due to a recall. We asked the manager if we ran over a couple days when rent was due if it would be OK... she said it wouldn't be a problem. When the truck was fixed, we set up a day to use it to move his things out. We showed up and gave them the 100 dollar deposit for use of the truck. When we tried to access the building, the pin number didn't work. The manager on duty told us to come inside there was a problem. When we got inside he told us we owed him another mos rent. We explained we were told it would be OK if we went over a couple of days (Due to the truck being in the shop) He then told us that we couldn't borrow the truck because it was only customers moving things in. He then told us we didn't give them 10 days notice that we were moving his things out !!! We explained to him that the manager we dealt w/ promised we could use the truck to move his things out, and we wouldn't be charged for the couple days holdover due to the truck issue. They told us the manager we dealt w/ was fired for doing things for people like she did for us. they refused to let us get his things until we paid another mos rent and we were told we couldn't use the truck. Meanwhile my elderly father in law had to suffer w/out his bed for several more days. They gave us the phone number of district manager, but they never returned any calls.
