My experience with Avondale Hyundai and the Costco car buyin 9/29/2010

I inquired about purchasing a 2011 Hyundai Sonata through the Costco Auto Buying program. I was referred to Avondale Hyundai and spoke with Robert ""JR"" Steffes. I was under the impression that the Costco program afforded the customer the experience of no hassle and no haggle pricing. It does, but did you know you're not getting the best price the dealership can offer? You're getting a ""fair"" price. I only found this out because Avondale had the car I wanted with the options I wanted and the price was right (I didn't know they could go lower than the Costco price). The only reason I found out that I could get a better price was because JR said they had the only 3 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE with the options I wanted, in the entire state. This car had everything except the Navigation/Sunroof package and it didn't have the Homelink system. I wanted a different color than what they had to offer and he said, ""We have the only 3 in the state."" more
