I live and Work in Wake Forest our staff goes out to lunch couple times a week. We had stopped going to the Village Deli over year ago because of the mediocre to poor tasting food that was outrageously priced. Last Friday we stopped in for a bite to give it another try? Some things never change? We had our usual 20-25 min wait for 2 sandwiches and order Chicken tenders. We specifically asked for turkey sandwich on plain wheat bread with dressings and whatever accompaniments on side (too much to ask for outrageously price sandwich?) Needless to say Deli can not even get that right. Chicken fingers were soggy and barley warm as if they were made few hours before. Amazingly rude counter personnel seem clueless or it just act that way to get you to go away? Price for sandwich, drink and side is $14? So, if you crave, sub-par food, slow service and rude & clueless personnel all at an EXCEDINGLY OBSORBANT PRICE. Village Deli is for you? Not for us, never again?
