Clyde's may remind some of a nicer TGIFriday's but I personally like the food and think of the restaurants as a far step ahead of such national chains. I've eaten at this location for brunch and at the Georgetown location for dinner and enjoyed both experiences. They offer large portions and hearty, well-made, standard American cuisine. I LOVE chicken n' waffles, and their ""Joe's Fried Chicken and Waffle"" was up-to-par with several of the local spots in DC where I've also had chicken n' waffles. Service here is good; waiters here are attentive and friendly. I came on one occasion in a group of 8 and our waiter at the time didn't falter with any orders and was very nice. 8 times out of 10 this (and other locations) are packed, especially with tourists, but I've managed to come without reservations at reasonable times (11ish for brunch, 8ish for dinner) and was seated immediately.
