We chose to stop for lunch at this place after a hike nearby. It looks great and has lots of windows and roadhouse decor. The menu reads OK too. I asked for a burger done medium, got a lecture on what the health department requires, and was served a burger that was thin, hard, dry and tasted as if it had been on the grill since the day before. For $8.00 I expect a decent burger. \r

Waitress a little self-oriented. It was about 70 degrees outside & I was in shorts and sweatshirt. When I told the waitress that I was cold from the A/C blowing directly on me, she replied that she was comfortable, maybe due to her work! We had just walked about 10 miles, half of it uphill so we too had good circulation. I moved across the table into the lee of my husband to stay warm.\r

The horseradish is good and well priced at $5 the jar. My suggestion is that the rest of the food get up to that level of value for price and match the decor. The beer selection looked good; why not make the non-alcoholic drink selections good too, like a natural root beer and freshly steeped rather than powdered iced tea?
