Pines vision care is not what the name states. I would rename it to ""AT PINES VISION CARE WE WILL BLIND YOU AND WE DON'T CARE"" The first time I went in I specifically told the doctor that I am comfortable with my previous prescription for contacts. He (Stuart McIver) says ok. But he had to retest my eyes. Of course You are not told what the prescription is after testing. After wearing the new contacts for a day or two. I felt as if I was going to block out and everything seems distorted. I went back told him and told him:\r
a) The contacts were too rough on my eyes and He needs to lower the prescription because it seems too strong \r
b) I also need glasses\r
\r
You would think lightning does not strike twice in the same place.\r
He changed the contacts to another brand. I wear them the material is a little softer but it seems too strong. I told myself that when I get the glasses I will not bother with those contact lenses. I continue to wear contacts from my previous doctor because they made me see better and I don't feel as if my eyes are pulling out of my head\r
\r
I did my test for glasses a week later. I picked up my glassed two weeks later. I thougth I was going to Die. Every straight object seems curved on top of that when I look at a white object for example there was a Strong spectrum of blue. I could not walk with those glasses on my face. \r
Immediately I called the office and told them what my symptoms are and was told to try them over the weekend.I could not . I went in a couple days later told the doctor that this is too strong. He gets mad puts the instrument in front of my face ask me to read a few lines; then he gets another set of individual lenses and you would think I did something to this man. He said ""Is this better , what about this "" he was flipping these concave or convex lenses over my eyes so fast and very rude at that.I had to ask him why was he going so fast. He told me he lowered the prescription and I picked up the ""lowered"" prescription glasses for the second time and after walking out the door I realized that the prescription has not changed or is is still too strong. I was never asked to sit and try the glasses as I have noticed with other customers. It was just handed to me over the counter and that is not professional. I am in the process of having my eyes retested to get a lower prescription. But I have glasses and contacts that I am not able to use because of the incompetence of Pines Vision Center. My insurance and I have paid for this service and product that I am not able to use. It is ashame. I would like some assistance in getting the right prescription. Dr. McIver and his staff disappointed me. But I will see what the outcome of this is. I need proper vision care and I need to be prescribed correctly. My needs are not defined and most importantly they don't care. I need this fixed beacuse these are my eyes and I care
Pros: Very good at hiding there ulterior motives
Cons: Doctor Intentionally misguides customers
