Pat?s is our favorite restaurant. We don?t even keep kosher ?we just go there for the great food and service. My wife usually gets salmon when we dine out, and she considers Pat?s Cedar Planked Salmon to be the ?Gold Standard.? She says it?s the best salmon in town; so far no one else?s compares. I usually get beef dishes. Kosher cuts are limited so they don?t serve some of the ?finer? cuts, but their huge Maestro Steak is the tastiest steak I?ve ever had. The downside is the cost and since fat is one of the secrets to its flavor, it takes some work to trim it off ? just another of life?s tradeoffs.
