I was disappointed by my overall spa experience. The facial was great and I would highly recommend Karen. I also had a waxing treatment with her a week ago and she did a really great job. I was pleased with the facial but disappointed with the long wait for my appointment. I was kept waiting for 20 minutes which greatly diminished my relaxing spa experience and left me highly annoyed and angry. I made an appointment at 11:00am and arrived 10 minutes early. I announced that I had an 11:00 appointment when I arrived. I asked at 11:20 why my appointment was running so late, and was told that my appointment was at 11:15am and that Karen was only running 5 minutes late. I had my appointment card which clearly said 11:00am and I got a call from the spa confirming my 11:00am appointment. I got a dismissive shrug and I'm sorry but did not get an adequate explanation for the mix-up or sincere apology for the wait. I have had many spa treatments and have never been kept waiting so long. I'm not sure if I'll return based on my experience. This was my first spa treatment at AvantGard so I don't know if this was a one time mix-up or if running late is not considered a big deal for them. more
