Whenever I come back to Fresno for a family visit, I have a list of old favorite restaurants and I attempt to visit them all in the typically small time frame I have.
Luby Chinese ranks somewhere near the top. Best chinese vegetarian food I probably have ever had. My friend and I usually split the veggie kung pao and veggie sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice. Granted the food is super greasy and probably not all that great for you, my stomach and I thoroughly enjoy our time! Does my stomach enjoy it when Tom the owner gives me belly rubs? Not so much.
Tom is definitely a strange guy and he probably felt comfortable rubbing my belly because he rubs my friend's all the time like it's some sort of weird inside joke. But whatever, he's a nice guy who truly cares about making his customers happy, so I'll let it slide.
Don't read the other negative reviews, this place is heaven. And I don't understand why people give 1 star reviews for places that aren't open anymore. Ridiculous!
