I went there with three other people over the weekend with my girlfriend and another couple, and everything was GREAT, people are saying that the food isn't worth it and that you are being ripped off, which is not true at all. We were seated immediately despite being 15 minutes early and were quickly greeted and served. Our plates were constantly cleared and there was never a shortage of food.
While this may not be the most authentic Brazilian food (I go there once every few years to visit family) I found that the waiters and servers were speaking Portuguese, and knew all the meats very well. Point being, the food is still amazing. To start we hit the salad bar, the selection was small but why go to a place like this for a salad bar? Shortly after we were notified that we could have as many sides as we want and given a check list. No we did not get charged extra.
If you are in NYC and are looking for a great place to dine this is the spot, great easy access from any place in the city, and its a short walk from Central Park to walk off the enormous meal!
