My husband and I, and our 3 children before they grew up and moved away, have been patients of Dr. Tuttle for 30 years. One of the most reassuring things about him is that on occasion, I've actually heard him say, ""I don't know."" That honest admission always wins my admiration; I can't think of a more dangerous doctor to have than one who speaks from a pedestal and thinks (or acts as if) he or she knows everything. Dr. Tuttle thinks out loud, listens to me, and gives his reasons for the treatments he recommends. He also answers my questions fully and listens to my reasons if I have a different take on an issue. In my long relationship with him, I have always found him professional, good-humored, and respectful of my intelligence. Another trait of his I enjoy is that he's just as enthused about his work as a doctor today as he was 30 years ago, and I have no doubt that he is diligent in keeping abreast of new medical findings.
Pros: It's possible to have a 2-way conversation with my doctor.
