Foodies and nature lovers will find it's worth a Sunday drive to Dungeness Spit for an easy beach walk and a tasty dinner celebrating the world's most famous crab, named for this beautiful, romantic stretch of beach where they are harvested. My favorite time of year to go is in September during the Crab Festival, when you can catch, eat, and celebrate crab, nature and life in this ""slice of Americana"" town where life is leisurely and never tires of this great debate : bisque vs. chowder!
Pros: easy hike, beautiful, serene beach -- eat great crab after!
