First off you need to state all the facts. The vehicle was in fact towed in for overheating we found the impeller bad on the water pump. We replaced the water pump and timing belt per your request and with a verbal est. which it took 3 days for you to return my call for me to explain the problem and get an approval, we repaired the vehicle then on the test drive the car started to run hot so it came back to the shop we block tested it and found it had a bad head gasket. Again you were called and it took 2 days this time for you to call back to inform you of this problem that you had created by driving the car and overheating it and the estimate was for 1600 not 1400 plus the cost of the part's from the first part of the job which was 300.00 and to completely recondition the head it was 275.00 in machine shop fee's and I waived all previous labor on the original job and told you I would just charge you for this fix because it is a big job and as always I was trying to help you as much as possible. The aftermarket intake that you said that I told you I would install for 100.00 which in fact I told you it would be time and material but a minimum of 100.00 for the INTAKE you never mentioned a throttle body and fuel rail that you also brought with you. This intake turned out to be the cheapest and poorly assembled part I have ever tried to install. We worked on this intake for over 6 hour?s trying to fit it and I only charged you for 2.5 hours of labor. Once we got the intake to work on the car it was warped along the mating surface of the head and throttle body from poor workmanship when the intake was assembled that we had to remove the intake and send it to the machine shop to have it trued up the machine shop charged a more than fair price of 105.00 because i told him the situation so he did you a favor. When we got the intake manifold back on the car and the intake and throttle body were sealed then came the task to making the fuel rail seal. I had to get 5 different sets of injector seals (which you only were charged for 1 complete set) to finally get a set that would not leak fuel. Altogether the second pulling of the intake we spent another 6.5 hours and only charged for 3.9 hours which the book calls for3.5 to replace a stock manifold. So yes I did do you a big favor and went far beyond any compensation to make sure your car turned out running smooth. As for the final bill it was far less than it should have been and was less than I told you it would be. You were told how much everything was before each phase was done and you approved the work. When you called me about the oil leak I told you to bring it in and when you did we fixed it that same day in fact you dropped it off but we had it fixed within 2 hours of you dropping it off you know that to be a fact because I called you and told you it was fixed and just for the record the oil leak was very small and in no way could it have left a 2ft puddle under the car. Everything in this letter is exactly the same thing I told you and you did not like it and it was you that got confrontational. So you can say what you want to and twist and leave out the facts all you want but here's one fact.......You and I both know the truth!!!!!! And above all ""God"" knows!!!!!
