It seems that almost any kind of food has it's "chains". From Olive Garden to Starbucks for coffee it's always tastes the same. I have never found this to be true with Indian food. If there is a chain, I am not aware of it which is wonderful because it means that the restaurants are privately owned. I visited Priya recently and was treated to Indian cuisine that was a treat for the senses. I ordered the Chicken Tika Masala, garlic nan, and a yogurt drink. Everything was as I expected it to be. Delicious. I like my food just a little spicy and they made certain not to overdo it. One pet peave I have is atmosphere. I hate going into a Mexican or Indian or Italian restaurant only to hear top 40 music being played. If it's a Mexican restaurant I want Mariachi Music. I am happy to say that Priya was playing Indian music. It helps add to the experience. I will happily return to Priya any time.
