My experience at The Wild Grape can be summed up in a few words: flavorless, terrible service, and overpriced. Originally, I was thrilled when The Wild Grape opened up in the space vacated by the Avenues Bakery. I was hoping for a new brunch spot to spend my Sunday mornings in. This was not destined to be that place. I've tried it twice now and both experiences were lackluster and disappointing. The service was indifferent at best: with only a quarter of the tables occupied and several servers hanging around the counter it still took 20 minutes to wave someone down to take our order. Nothing like sipping water for 20 minutes when you're jonesing for breakfast. The food was also a disappointment. Runny eggs-over-hard, flavorless bacon, coffee with that burned starbucks taste, the potatoes were just unpleasant, and while the biscuits were pleasantly fluffy the gravy was akin to elmer's glue. For the menu price I expected a much better meal.
Pros: nice decor
Cons: pricey for the portion and quality, slow service
