My husband and I visited this restaurant on May 5th, 2010 at around 7pm. The service we received was OK. There was no hostess at the front counter when we walked in so we had to move slightly into the restaurant before we were noticed and were seated.
The service was quick, we only waited about 10 minutes for our food to be cooked and delivered to us. But when we got our food there were some issues with it.
The french toast I got was smothered in butter. I took more than half of it off and placed it in a napkin. The eggs I ordered were drenched in oil. I couldn't make myself eat them, it was disgusting. I ordered a side of strawberries and since it was May I was expecting fresh strawberries. Instead I got canned strawberries. They looked like what you would put in a pie. My husband ordered cheese fries and they were very greasy and tasted ""off"".
When we checked out I told the cashier that the food was 'ok'. She said 'oh well that's good. It's just food. As long as it fills the belly.' Not the response I was expecting. I wish she had showed more concern about our experience and maybe asked details. like 'oh, just ok? Was there anything wrong?'
I don't think we are going to go back there. Not when we can pay the same price at IHOP and get better food.
Pros: Good French Toast, Clean
Cons: Greasy Food, Outdated Decor, Unenthusiastic Staff
