This is a great little tavern that is 90 years old and run by Ray who has been here since the beginning. There is a wood stove in the middle of the room to warm your cockles and....Lots of logger paraphernalia and loggers sampling the brew. Running along the floor, next to the bar is a sluice box . Creek water flows through it so you can spit. In older days I think it served as a place to drink and not have to bother going to the bathroom.

Cons: it is 17 miles off the beaten path of 101 at MP 74
