Horrible service! I have been to some nice places in Boston and around the world but have never been treated this rudely before. We tried to surprise a friend with a little party but Cuchi Cuchi surprised us with an evening full of disappointments.
They did not take reservations (but looking at their book they do!). My friend had been calling all week to get reservations and they refused, but I glanced at their seating book and they were taking reservations for small parties. Perhaps they just discriminate against large parties 5+ or maybe they cater to their regulars, I don?t know?but it is a shady practice. We tried to get a smaller table and that is when the fun began. We were moved 4 times!!!!! We arrived before 7pm, were given a long story about how they could not seat us, were told to wait at the bar, once the bar got full, were conveniently moved to a small table, then the couch in corner, and 2 hours later the table in the back was opened so they moved us again!!!! It was ridiculous; I have never been treated like that. If it were not for my friend?s celebration, I would have walked out. I was with many international friends who did not understand what was going on, some even felt they were being discriminated against.
The food was overpriced. For all of our troubles they gave us nothing! You pay for the bread, and everything. They recommend that you order two plates to equal a full meal. I had the baby back ribs, nothing special about them; I can get better ribs at KO Prime. They rushed us through the meal; before you were done eating they took the plates.
Only bonus, you get to keep your coaster?they don?t advertise only word of mouth. Unless you want to be treated rudely, I would stay away. I will never go back there!!
