I was out with few friends celebrating a birthday. We were sitting at the bar for about 45 minutes having drinks. Shortly after ordering a second round, a man entered ,checked us out for a couple of seconds and walked toward the back. A minute latter, the bartender handed us the check asking us to pay it. At first I though the bartender was closing up his shift and needed to settle the check but he said that the owner (the guy that checked us out) told him to ask us to leave. I approached the owner and wanted to know the reason, his answer was that none of us had American Ids. The bouncer was very pleasant and we had no problem getting in. That was a totally racist call for some very unprofessional reason where at Firefly, the color of your skin dictates the rules if you can stay and have to be asked to leave. Very sad to experience in NYC in the 21 st Century.
