We were visiting for spring break with our children and really were wowed by the positive reviews we read for the restaurant. After a great evening of enjoying the wonderful sights of downtown Charleston, we were looking forward to continuing the terrific evening with a great dinner.
Boy, what a letdown! We should have paid more attention to a prior review from 10/08 ... ditto on a lot of the problems they encountered:
* The bowtie and manicotti were very average!!
* Our daughter had the ravioli and she barely ate half the plate!
* When we asked for more bread, they brought out cold, stale bread
* The wait staff were never available and when we did manage to flag them down, it was clear that they were doing us a favor.
* We found the prices exorbitant - over $150 for 5 with only a beer and a glass of wine.
You have many better choices in Charleston - avoid this one.
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Bad service; overpriced; average quality food; extra-small
