My son's 40hp motor wasn't running smoothly. Grandioise promises to fix it in a week. Waited four weeks for motor's return. Didn't start. Owner, Dave, insisted on cash or check. Money gone. Motor worse than before. And no recourse. I went to their yard on a Saturday to beg someone to come out and look at the motor. The gate was locked up but while there, no fewer than four people drove pass the gate in rage wanting to know where their boat motors were, why were repairs taking so long and why did the repair that had been done not been satisfactory. Ifelt sorry for the employees who had to listen to the messes their boss Dave had created. And Dave was NEVER available on the phone. Was told by other mechanics in the area to STEER clear! GO to Ray's Marine, they said. Ray is honest, and knows what he is doing. Too bad I can't get my SEVEN HUNDRED dollars back so I can go to Ray's!
Cons: Like throwing money directly into the bay, but worse.
