I was having difficulty finding the correct stain color to use in our home.. I was trying to match the existing wood tones. After finding JD Hardwood flooring, the owner John brought his staff to my home and stayed for over 2 hours mixing different stain colors together to come up with the right match.
I had most rooms in the house installed with hardwood.
The installers showed up and got the job done very efficiently... There must have been 10 workers here pounding away.
The staining process went without a hitch and the color is beautiful, very very satisfied.
The biggest advantage was that they sent over 3 women included in the price to help me dust all of the walls in the house. No matter who says that they have a 'dust free' system, they can't keep the dust down. You WILL have a house full of sawdust so what a blessing it was to have help with the clean up !!
The slats have popped over the winter and quite a few have separated. This is normal the first couple of years with a new wood floor due to humidity changes. I've experienced this effect in the past.
I called John a couple of months ago, he immediately came out and filled the spaces with wood filler. He said to call him again in the spring so that he can re -evaluate it and replace some of the slats if needed. I trust that he will do what he says.
