I've been to the top name salons in the city including Garren, and John Barrett. I like Yann Varin the best. He sees what's good for your face and your life style. The salon is small but very friendly with none of the loud blaring music that makes getting a haircut stressful rather than peaceful. I've had great luck with their colorists, too.
In spite of how great they are I've never had to wait weeks to get an appointment. And, since I live on East 74th Street they're right in my neighborhood... I can walk there. And surprise! You don't have to pay the Gross National Product of Costa Rica for a great color and cut!
Pros: Yann is an absolutely superb stylist.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
