If you are considering going to Bent's Old Fort National Historc Site or the Commanche National Grasslands--and you should--you will need a place to stay in the pleasant small city of La Junta, CO. The Stagecoach Motel should be that place. They have clean, comfortable, spacious rooms at reasonable rates. They are convenient to the highway, but far enough from it to be quiet. Several restauants are within walking distance. They also will drive you to/from the nearby Amtrak station.
