My mechanic serviced my car and told me that a front rim was dented and that I had two questionable tires and should have the rim and tires check at a tire store. I took the car to Discount Tire on Genesee, where I had bought tires before. I told the young man who waited on me about what the mechanic said and asked the price for a new rim. He said it would cost about $60 but that it would not take the dealership's hubcap, but said he should look at the rim first. He took it off and examined it and said that it was safe to use. I asked him about the two tires, and he said he would change those but the other two were in good condition. So he put on two new tires, putting the dented rim in the rear, and balanced the tires for $220. He could have sold me a new rim, but didn't. And he could have suggested 4 tires instead of 2, but didn't. And he could have suggested expensive tires, but didn't. The tires were $73 each. He point out insurance was possible, and I took, mostly out of gratitude
