This is a auto service/repair facility in the Allen Street Neighborhood, right off 496 near Frandor. I am a car nerd, so I often do my own repairs and such, but every once in a while you dont have time for a big job, or it would just be that much easier in a large shop with a hoist. For all those types of situations I take my car in to UFC. I also like to recommend UFC to friends when I cant work their repairs into my work schedule. Also their parts department ('Chequered Flag' for all you Brits!) is really on the ball. They are my primary supplier for aftermarket parts and often manage to come up with some odd parts that I would otherwise be buying off some unheard of website run from somewhere in Europe.
I have been working with UFC for some years now, and have become acquainted with Mr. Mayes, the owner, during my visits. He is almost always at the shop - the true sign of a good owner in my opinion, not one of those guys that owns a oil change joint that you never see. And the parts manager Ross is hilarious, he sure knows his parts.
If you are wondering whether to give them a shot, I recommend them highly!
Pros: high quality low cost parts, fair price for quality repairs
Cons: small waiting area (they are accomodating though!)
