just had my hair done at Lasio Studio on 3/10/2010 and I must say it was the worst experience in my life. I have tight curly hair and a lot of hair. I was sensitive or allergic to the chemical in the BKT. I didn't know that the product could give you burning sensation in your throat, head and mouth.
First, I couldn't breathe, my scalp, my throat and my nose was burning so much, i felt like I was going to pass out. My eyes were tearing. My hairdresser did not offer to end the product or to stop until I said I need a break, I need water, I need to go to the restroom because my nose was full of mucus to protect me from this chemical. I allowed them to continue because I said they must know what they are doing and they said to me, ""we had another client who was sensitive like you earlier today."" She continued while I was requesting a towel, a mask because my face was burning. She just kept saying you are sensitive to the product.
The reason why I am giving this such a low review is because if you are putting a chemical that has side effect and causes sensitivity in people there must be a warning to let people know that or a test done to find out if you are sensitive to the product or not. The test is very easy, all they have to do is spray the product in your hair and you will find out.
It seems that Lasio is more concerned about making money than they are concerned about people health.
Formaldehyde which is in the product causes cancer, and respiratory problems. If I had known beforehand that there was a posibility of being sensitive to the chemical in the product I would have never done it.
I actually regret putting this thing in my hair. I should have just left my hair curly and have it blow dried when I need it straight. I would not advise anyone to do this on a regular basis. If you are sensitive to chemicals, or have sinus problems or any respiratory problem stay away from this product and save your health.
Your health is not worth cancer. Find a formaldehyde free BKT and get it done. I am in my first day of having this in my hair and I am still having problems breathing and my scalp is still burning a little. Not as much as when I had it done.
My message- Lasio should not do this procedure on people that are sensitive. Money is not worth someone's life.
Save your health, save your money.. Although they said to wash this product after 4 days, I am going to wash it out now because of how my nose feels and my head feels...
