You know what they say: location, location, location. If that were all it took, Sago would be the best ever. Sadly, it is not. Sago certainly isn?t awful. The restaurant is large and bright, with lots of windows, and is lit in stylish colors. It certainly has more room than the other, more cramped bubble tea places in Flushing. The menu is pretty big, and the food relatively cheap. Yet the main draw is the bubble tea, which left me wanting.
Sago boasts a fairly large selection of all sorts of drinks, but the prices for bubble tea are almost double that of the other places nearby. My bubble tea showed up watery and thin. My friend had a green tea ice cream-based drink, which was a little better, and a curry soup, which was spicy and somewhat flavorful. Situated almost directly under the 7 train and the LIRR stop, it sits in a perfect spot, but I was uninspired.
Pros: Easy to get to, good variety
Cons: Not the best
