We were in Austin, TX for the first time ever this weekend for rowing meet. Waited for awhile to eat at Gueros. Server could have cared less about us...we had to ask for for water. Order guacomole (sp?) and she put the order in as queso...and we continued to wait. She was paying alot more attention to the table of older, richer looking folks next to us. We finally flagged down a bus boy who was awesome. Food was marginal at best and slow to get to our table. The fastest part of the whole meal was when my husband gave the server his credit card. I kid you not, it was less 30 seconds and she had it back to him...wanting to free up the table for the next round of suckers. Try Serrano's instead of Guero's...you won't be sorry you did. This place gets by on being ""famous"" versus serving good food and providing good customer service.
