Best Garden Center for the Gardener On a Budget 3/20/2010

Lowe's has BEAUTIFUL flowers for the cheapest prices in Seattle. Basically, you go to the very pricey big nurseries first, figure out what you really want, and then go to Lowes to see if they are carrying that right now. New shipments weekly -- serious savings (worth the extra trip) compared to nurseries. My best buys from last summer were two gorgeous hybiscus trees for $25 each, and two ""knock out"" rose bushes for just $7 each. YES! gorgeous and cheap. I also buy all of my clay pots here (cheapest, again, and all sizes available) and the railing hangers for my hanging flower boxes. Lowe's is great on returns as well -- if you don't like it, just bring it back and they refund your money. How old fashioned and customer service oriented!!! You can go to any Lowe's -- this is just the one that I frequent as it is closest to my home in Greenlake. Pros: Best cheap flowers and trees! Cons: you must go to customer service to find help more
