I was very disappointed when I had dinner this Sunday evening (March 21, 2010) at the Timber Lodge Steakhouse in Bloomington, Minnesota. The wait person was excellent. She has served me before, and she always does a great job: warm, efficient, and friendly. The food, which is typically very good was adequate to poor, especially the steak (already described). It will be quite a while before I return to this restaurant for dinner. Unpleasantly surprised.
Pros: Good bread; salad and baked potatoe were adequate.
Cons: Viking steak (11-ounce) was tough and lacking in flavor.
