Recently rated America's #3 beer hall by RateBeer--whatever that's worth--Brouwer's is something like Seattle Beer Museum (SBM?)--albeit a museum hopped up on hops and the Melvins. 60-some international beers on tap, many Belgians unavailable anywhere else, plus another 300 varieties in bottles. Tatted and probably hungover, the staff is actually super friendly and knowledgeable enough to help you navigate the mind-boggling selection. Be prepared to spend some time and money getting to know the menu. It's worth it.
The food here is also good. Either style of mussel is fantastic (steamed in either cream sauce or white wine) and the cheese plate, though pricey, can be paired perfectly with beer.
And it's not all about beer--Brouwer's has one of the best single-malt Scotch selections in Seattle. Pick one or the other, though. The combo of strong beer and Scotch has put down many a highlander before his day.
Pros: BEERBEERBEERBEERBEER. Really good beer.
Cons: No Bud Light. Hopefully that's not your thing.
