We joined Goldrush Getaways ten years ago.  At first we did not use it and wondered if we wasted our money.   Then we started doing one cruise a year for ourselves, then booked travel for family and friends.  Now that we are retired, we cruise 4-5 times a year, have taken several groups on cruises, and have done FAM (familiarization) trips as Travel Agents.  Went to China for 7 days for $799 including air, hotels, sightseeing.  We have averaged $5,000 + in commissions during years that we have taken groups.  And we didn't have to ""pound the pavement"" to find travelers; they were friends and friends of friends.  Once I accidentally used the wrong name for an air ticket and Goldrush people were able to get it changed for me without a penalty fee.   We attend the workshops occasionally and have gotten great ideas from the vendors who put them on.  Goldrush is not intended to be an investment or a business opportunity.   Nor is it a travel agency for the general public.  It is to help you become an agent.   They give support and help when needed.   It is NOTHING like YTB.  That is a pyramid scheme.   I have friends who went with YTB and were excited to get $6 commission, plus pay $50 a month for  their website.   We get large commissions and they are paid  in a timely manner.   	
I have recommended Goldrush to friends who did join and were glad of it.  The only complaint I have heard is that they are upset they don't have more time to travel. That is not Goldrush's fault.   I would join again in a minute, knowing what I do about the company.
