Read any of the other reviews, and you can view the exploits of its grand beer selection and almost gourmet bar food. However, located in the heart of the East Village, this spot is guaranteed to be packed on any given night (especially weekends). Recently discovered, by me at least, is the back bar. Through a hallway that seems to only lead to the kitchen and maybe a bathroom, Spitzer’s opens up. Almost the same size of the front area, the back has a full bar and plenty of extra seating. No longer a need to be scared away by five deep line at the front bar. Go check the back before you move on.
