I went with my girlfriend, who had been to the Dick's in Vegas and told me all about how fun it is, so we were looking forward to taking all the abuse they could throw at us. Unfortunately, our waitress decided that she would insult everyone in the restaurant BUT us. We couldn't understand why we were treated so politely at a rudeness-themed restaurant. We didn't go there for the food, which was oversalted and overpriced. We went there for the unique experience of being humorously trashed by the server, and they didn't deliver. We even tried to provoke her by stalling while ordering and being indecisive. She actually said, "Just take your time," in a genuinely pleasant voice. Then the tipping situation was sort of a catch-22, because we couldn't tip low for "good" service, even though we didn't get the bad service we paid for. Bottom line, the service needs to be consistent in order to meet expectations, because they can't get by on just their lousy food.
