With every estimate we carefully explain how we can't see under the current roofing system. As such it's always possible that when we begin removing shingles, we find additional damage that needs repair. This was one of those cases and it ended up costing more than we had originally quoted. We did the RIGHT thing by going the extra mile and ensuring the roof was done to the highest of standards, and would last for a very long time.
