A group of us went to the Porter House for lunch and a cigar about a month ago and left completely disappointed. We sat in the Chemist room and were served by the bartender. We were the only customers in the room and the entire restaurant wasn't busy. Our beers arrived and we ordered our lunches. One of the four of us ordered a starter salad. A good server would ask if we wanted the salad to come out at the same time as our lunches. The bartender was not a good server and she decided to bring out our food one hour after the single starter salad. We were then treated to bad, bland and boring food. We looked past this and enjoyed a smoke and left a big tip. I mistakenly left my lighter on the table. I live on the other side of the country and asked the bartender if she would send my lighter. She gave me a ton of attitude but said that she would send it to a friend in NJ. Two weeks later after multiple calls to find out the status, I was very rudely told by the bartender and the manager that they weren't going to send my lighter through the mail because it was going to cost $12. I highly recommend that nobody attend this place due to bad food, bad service and individuals with terrible manners.
