I recently went to this shop b/c the shop someone recommended to me on rt 9 that I was planning to go to was pretty rude. As I walked in to the shop I felt like I was transported back into another decade with all of the old machines; it felt like a real cobbler's shop. I thought I had ruined a pair of tan leather boots (ketchup from 6th grade lunch duty!) and as soon as I walked in Mark was VERY nice and accomodating. We spent about 20 minutes chatting while he fixed up my boots and then he refused to take payment for his services. While I was there I was very pleased to see about 4 customers come and go to pick up and drop off. He seemed to remember all of their names and it felt like he was really a part of the local community. This was refreshing to say the least. I would highly recommend Mark Nelson. Perhaps some of the people in other revieiws were ""creeped out"" by him because there are not many genuinly nice people in the world today who actually want to engage in a conversation and the general public does not know how to react to a small business owner who actually cares about his customers.
