The people at Auto Park Honda are friendly and the salesman who actually sold me the car, Peter Gazzard, was awesome.
The bottom line is this. It's a car dealer. They are one of the few sales industries where haggling still seems to be the standard. Shop around. Get multiple quotes from different sources and then argue with them and tell them you'll take your money elsewhere. If you don't want to play their games or don't like to then you should probably be looking at a car buying service from AAA or elsewhere.
I've done both, the AAA car buying service was not very personal but it did take the hassle out of buying a new car.
Going to a dealer though, you get a more personal experience and it can be a lot of fun to haggle with someone over a price.
