Avoid - Scamming pet owners and the City of Seattle 11/3/2010

AVOID!! Do NOT take any animal there.\r \r A neighbor "rescued" my "lost" dog (the dog had just run out and was 2 houses down from mine) and took her to Lien Animal Clinic. Instead of recognizing her from her unique dental issues and the related work they'd just performed on her a few months earlier (at a price $200 over what they originally quoted me), they immediately (within 15 minutes of drop off) called Seattle Animal Control and had her picked up. After dealing with the Seattle Animal Shelter, we've discovered that Lien bills the City of Seattle for "examinations" (which I have reasons to believe they don't actually do) and for a holding the dogs for the city. So they have NO incentive to hold a pet for the owner - they get money for turning the pet over to the city. more
