I recently went to a show at the Palace Theater. I thought the Star Restaurant at Playhouse would be the perfect spot to have a light meal before the show. It was a weekday show, and the Star was mostly empty. I asked the hostess if I could choose a table in the bar or if I needed to wait to be seated. No wait was necessary. So I selected a table and I waited. And I waited and waited. 15 minutes went by, and still not even an acknowledgement from the hostess or the wait staff. Other tables were waited on, but not me. And there are only 6 or 8 tables in the bar... So after another 10 minutes of being 'invisible,' I left. Not a word from any staff member. What a horrible experience. I ended up having to buy a hot pretzel at the theater. I would definitely not recommend the Star to anyone. There are other choices nearby. Take some extra time and choose anything but the Star!
