Poor Follow-Up; Bad for Guinea Pigs 11/23/2010

Although they said they employed an exotics vet, the med student I got instead was not thorough in her exams for my 2 guinea pigs.\r \r I had to wait over an hour in the waiting room with my 2 cavies squealing away in the box at 8pm on a Friday night, the only patient in the waiting room. Granted they said there was an emergency surgery going on which is good he wasn't getting help, but still...\r \r I spent 2 hours at the vet that night waiting, waiting, waiting. When I finally was seen by the Dr. (or student?) she talked a TON and was sweet, but when it came down to it didn't follow through on the things she said she would email me about after she said she'd go look up some research and then get back to me. She didn't notice that my 2 rescued pigs both had bumblefoot and she didn't notice that one had a mammary gland tumor and she couldn't give me any idea as to how many babies or how far into her pregnancy my other guinea pig was.\r \r She never emailed me the signs of pregnancy, the cost of a C-Section, and I still haven't gotten results from their fungal tests, 2 weeks later. :( I called the next day to leave a message for her about the bumblefoot and have never heard back.\r \r All that, and it was expensive!!! There is no discount for multiple pets. :( A nice place to look at, but a real dissapoint ment for a small animal ""specialist."" :( more
