Venice is expensive and certainly NOT worth the money or trouble. The owner and the waitresses tout the ""homemade"" dishes. The owner might make them from scratch (which I doubt,) but he most certainly freezes the dishes to be reheated later, I had pasta in a white sauce, easy, simple to make and cheap right? Wrong, wrong, wrong. The food was frozen and then reheated, the sauce was too heavy (because it is purposely made to be frozen and then reheated so its heavy so it doesn't break when freezing) and it was bland. I forget what my wife had...it is that forgetable! She didn't like hers either. Waitrees was overbearing and talked way too much. We are very nice people and put up with alot of crap because we want to eat well. This place's food sucked, was not what it was touted as, and the owner chef was kind of snobby. It was too expensive also--we are not cheap and will pay full price, but this place strives to be an authetic Osteria, charges too much for it and doesn't deliver. P.S. Mr. Owner/cook-people can tell when something is frozen and reheated. You can call it homemade if you want, but please add ""and then frozen and reheated.""
