Nice Little Neighborhood Restaurant 11/10/2010

I have been here a few times now since this restaurant transformed from the Common House a couple of months ago and every time it's consistent. The theme for this place is bicycles. Different kinds of bikes and memorabilia from all time periods are placed throughout the restaurant so it gets a point for staying true to it's identity. It's a bar/restaurant, but if you want a laid back dinner without a heavy rowdy bar crowd, you will be fine here, as it typically stays pretty low key. The food is good, but in the few times I have been there, there is nothing that I've had that I would go out of my way to eat there. Maybe as I try more of the menu, but for now it's a good ""let's head over to Kickstand for a quick bite and a few beers"". I think of myself to be a wing connoisseur of sorts and I would say their wings didn't impress me much. They are rather large which is nice, but they just didn't appeal to me. The flavors they have were minimal, but the manager came over (friendly lady) and asked for opinions on what they should add for flavors which was a nice change of pace for restaurant staff. Also Wednesday's are wing night with 50cent wings. Last evening, I had a burger, which was great. Nothing wrong about it. Cooked to a medium-medium well with bacon & cheese, just had a good deal of flavor and char to make it a good burger. The fries I could pass on, but they have a lot of different sides, so there are definitely options as far as that goes. Hopefully this place sticks around, it's a nice relaxing spot to kick back and hang out with a few good friends and have some decent food and drinks. more
