I must admit it was my idea to try "The Tavern", last time I was there is was "Tom's Tavern". My experience at the bar was pleasant. I had a glass of red wine (pinot noir) with calamari appetizer which I shared with my husband. When our dining companions arrived, we left the bar. Asked the waitress for her opinion on the seafood and pasta entree's, she had no opinion!! This is not a good sign! Ended up ordering fish and chips which arrived very over cooked and french fries were hard. Best part of the meal was the coleslaw. Thought that the atmosphere and staff lacked personality. We chose to head over to MR DOOLEY's down the street and we were glad we did! Should have eaten dinner there!
