I used to go to some really high end salons. They would put me to the side with a magazine...FOREVER. I was paying tons and treated like dirt. Never got a free sample, never got any type of frequent discount of ANY sort and just got tired of them taking advantage of my because I was nice and not a habitual complainer.
NOW I love when its time to get my haircut or highlighted. My stylist's name is Shelly and she is so much fun! The staff there is diverse. There is a person for anyone and everyone. If you need to find somewhere where your Mom or Grandmother can get blow out and style, they do it!
