I have been to Armando's countless times over the past seventeen years; I'm seventeen years old. I've always thought of this place as a safe haven, a mom and pop restaurant with a real owner in the middle of a fake, suburban landscape. However, I never noticed just how fantastic this restaurant was until I visited Germany a couple years ago and went to some Italian restaurants owned by first-generation Italian immigrants. The food at Armando's is just as good as the food I had in Europe and the atmosphere is much the same. It's a little loud, but it's a joyous place, so what's wrong with that? The owner runs the restaurant like a city restaurant and the wait-staff is always kind and courteous. Yes, it takes more than two minutes to get your food, but when you get it, you're getting a little piece of Italy. If you don't think the chefs are working hard enough, go take a peek into the kitchen and you'll change your mind. I'll be heading off to college after this school year and there aren't many things that I'll miss about Aurora, but I certainly will miss Armando's.
